Release of the Week: Prince of Persia
No, I didn’t get lazy here. The first Prince of Persia game on the next generation consoles is the first in the series without a subtitle. To be honest, I doubt it will need one. The series excelled as an action adventure game in the previous generation with little problem at all. The unique game play elements and stories of the past generation always brought something new to the table.
And the series isn’t stopping there. Aside from video games, Prince of Persia can also be found in the form of a graphic novel and a movie is being produced, expected to come out sometime in 2010. No, it looks like the series will be going full force without the subtitle.
If you are a fan of the series, then you know why you should take a look at this game. If you haven’t played a Prince of Persia game, then this is the perfect time to jump in. While not my first pick of the holiday releases, this is definitely a game you should pay attention to. This unique hack and slash with an in-depth story and challenging boss fights, will definitely make my Christmas list. It will depend on the reviews as to whether or not I would consider buying it for myself, at least before a price drop. It will at least be worth a spin on Gamefly.
