Upcoming: Snowed In Edition
This weekend has once again been an exercise in futility. No matter all the different things that I had planned, nothing was able to get done. It is amazing how that happens when family is in town. The problem was that this wasn’t necessarily a voluntary meeting, it was forced by Mother Nature’s friend, Jack Frost. Snow was so bad around our area that I was housebound until we could get dug out by the area road commission. On the bright side, I had the chance to hang out with one of my younger brothers and enjoy gaming it up on our newly purchased 37″ HDTV. Sure, it was supposed to make it until Christmas, but what the hell!
Sticking with the theme of the new HDTVs, We decided to bust out all the games that would show off the 1080P in its full glory. Out came Gears of War 2, Burnout Paradise and even Dead Space. There was not much gamerscore to be found there, but the night was young. After my brother took off towards my folk’s house, I decided to do a bit of gamerscore whoring and proceeded to tack on over 400 gamerscore in a matter of a few hours! I could not have been more thrilled, as I topped the 29,000 mark early this morning.
Well, enough with the rehashing of my of past gaming battles, here is the preview of what is coming this week. On Monday, we will have a feature on the top 5 upcoming games for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. This will hopefully be followed up by some more Refections of a Random Gamer and a list of the top 5 Xbox 360 games coming in 2009. On Thursday, we may have something special in store for you, but that is only if we have time after playing with our new toys. I will wrap up the week on Friday with a double dose of Xbox Live Arcade reviews, covering both Dash of Distruction and Castle Crashers.
