Dammit Game of the Week: Donkey Kong
For my final Retro Game of the Week, the original, Donkey Kong. Some of us may be old enough to remember when it came out, not me, but I know some of you saved up your milk money to play it for hours at the local arcade. It was the first time Donkey Kong and Jumpman (later renamed Mario and given a plunger) appeared in a game.
Like all these retro games, the controls are easy, arrow keys for directions and up for jump.
I must admit that I hate this game, but seeing how it is the debut of two of the most prolific game characters and there is a movie about breaking the high score record, I couldn’t pass it by.
