More Resident Evil 5 Demo Details Leak Out
The Resident Evil 5 Demo has been at the center of quite a bit of controversy as of late. First it is only coming to the Xbox 360, then it might be getting yanked down after only a week. So what is the status of the demo for PlayStation 3 gamers? A representative from Sony Europe recently had this to say to Kotaku…
A Resident Evil 5 demo will hit Xbox Live on January 26, “exclusively” for one week. After that? PlayStation 3 owners have to wait a whole week, getting it on February 2.
Seven days! How ever will you cope. February 2 is exactly one week after the 360 demo, as promised, and Capcom are so intent on bringing it to PlayStation 3 owners without delay that it’s going live on a Monday, rather than the customary Thursday.
One thing to note: we were told this by Capcom Europe, so confirmation of a US release will have to come when Capcom USA get out of bed. But it’ll most likely be the same day. — Kotaku.com
So now that all of this chaos is out of the way, the only thing left is to ensure that the demo is coming stateside at the same time as in Europe. Under most circumstances I wouldn’t be getting all hot and bothered over a demo, but it is Resident Evil! How can I not get even a little giddy? What platform are you going to snag the demo on?
