The enemies are called chimera because they are a combination between humans and an alien species. There is only one type of enemy that could be classed as mindless zombies (the Grims) but the fact that the majority of others carry guns and are depicted as having some capacity to think and communicate is a quick indication that the game isn't about zombies. Sorry about the minor rant but I just felt like getting it off my chest but overall the article makes for enjoyable reading.
