Upcoming: Overworked and Underpaid Edition

jobstress This last week has been an insane roller coaster of highs and lows, that has firmly come to a stop over a much needed weekend. As I have mentioned before, it is amazing how much your job can have an impact on the kind of games you want to play.

Over the last five work days, I would come home from a stressful day at the office and nothing would make me happier then trying and failing miserably at finishing Mirror’s Edge. Why would I want to be frustrated at home after being frustrated at work? I guess I was already in that frame of mind, so why the hell not… If for nothing else then to pat myself on the back, I will inform you that I managed to complete the entire campaign without firing a single bullet from a gun. Hearing the sound of that achievement being unlocked was like sweet music to my ears.

On top all of those preposterous parkour pleasantries, I managed to also finally bring Guitar Hero World Tour to a close and play my way through Flower twice. In my final act of gaming rebellion, my youngest brother and I blew a gaping hole into thousands of Zombies, as we finished House of the Dead: OVERKILL in both normal and “Director’s Cut” mode. Never has brain dead blasting banter been so obscene, but that is another story for another day.

This week we have several things to look forward to, including an outstanding Release of the Week from Greedy Raven (trust me, I have already edited it!), and more Reflections from a Random Gamer. Like the topping on a perfect desert, AndyGoes has a feature that will no doubt leave you speechless, and the return of Jimmy the Greek will help enforce his new political initiative, No Fanboy Left Unoffended. I will bring a wraps to the week with my review of Flower for the PlayStation Network. Who knows, maybe we will even get a surprise visit from Ammonator as well. Guess you will have to tune in and see.
